The international Palestinian doctor, Salim Al-Haj Yahya, succeeded in performing a successful heart transplant in Palestine, which is the first regionally.
After the doctors considered that the Palestinian citizen, Abdul Karim, would not survive because of his heart, which was only functioning at 5% and the failure of all the body’s systems, the Palestinian doctor was able to save the citizen’s life by transplanting two external hearts to the patient.
The doctor stimulated blood circulation by implanting two temporary artificial hearts. After his condition improved, both hearts were removed and at the same time a fixed artificial heart was implanted so that it would be the main pump for blood in place of the failing heart.
It is noteworthy that this process has not been conducted in the Middle East before, even in "Israel."
