Dr. Muntaha Al-Masry:
Doctorate in Chemistry from Germany, born in 1989, wife and mother of three children.
Muntaha Al-Masri from the village of Shuqba obtained high school and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Birzeit University, which she completed with distinction. Then she set off for Germany to complete graduate studies. She is the mother of a four-year-old child and pregnant with another child.
She left her son and her husband and headed alone to Germany...a difficult journey in which she balanced her motherhood role in its early stages and passed many tests, interviews and research. She presented her little girl only three months after her arrival in Germany, while her family was still in Palestine.
Her husband supported her in passing the first and most difficult steps towards her goal. She completed a master's degree in advanced materials science from Ulm University, then began her research in the field of developing materials for storing electrical energy. She completed her doctoral thesis and obtained the title of Doctor in Chemistry with a grade of distinction, and the University of Ulm attested to her excellence in the field of scientific research in conjunction with family duties, so it awarded her the Mileva Einstein-Marić-Prize.
