Information

Rania Arafat is a lecturer in the Department of Development Studies at the University of Jerusalem since 2008. She holds a Master's degree in Regional Studies, a postgraduate diploma in Mental Health, and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, all from the University of Jerusalem.

She has served as an acting director of the Human Center for four academic years and during that time, she also worked as the coordinator for the "Who is she in Palestine" project. Rania has been actively involved in various academic and administrative committees, including development and sub-control committees at both the college and department levels.

She has received extensive training in gender studies, local community institution management, volunteer management, and teaching methodologies. Prior to her tenure at the University of Jerusalem, she worked as the director of the Shuafat Women's Center for four years, and before that, she worked as a social researcher for three years. She is also a member of the General Union of Palestinian Women, serving on the board of the Jerusalem branch.
