He works as a professor. Walid Deeb is currently the Academic Advisor to the Board of Directors at the Arab American University in Palestine.
Mr. Dr. Deeb is the founding president of the Arab American University, where he was president of the university for the period between September 2000 and April 2005. The Arab American University is considered the first private university in Palestine.
The work of a professor. Deb was involved in the university’s three-year project from 1997 to 2000, preparing the regulations, laws, academic plans and internal regulations of the university, with a special focus on the field of information technology, which made it one of the strongest fields among universities in the region.
In addition to his work as president of the university, Prof. Dr. Walid Deeb also holds multiple positions, including that he was a member of the Palestinian Higher Education Council, a member of the Executive Council of the Palestinian Education Initiative, a member of the National Commission for Accreditation and Quality of the Higher Education Council, and also a member of the Board of Trustees of Al-Quds Open University.
He was A.D. Deeb is an active member of society, as in 1996 he established a center for children (6-17 years old) under the name (Young Scientists Forum). The forum aimed to encourage children to think, research, and conduct experiments. This project was so successful that the local community began to demand that the forum be expanded to include other cities, and in less than 4 years there were 20 different centers for the Young Scientists Forum in all parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Before that, he was a professor. Walid Deeb helped establish the Jordanian University for Women in 1991, the first university for women in Jordan.
Prof. Dr. began Walid Deeb’s profession is as a university professor teaching mathematics at a number of universities in different countries: including the University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia, the State University of New York at Albany, the University of Jordan in Jordan, Kuwait University in Kuwait, and the University of California in Los Angeles. He has received numerous awards for his distinguished teaching and has published more than thirty papers in mathematics.
It should be noted that Prof. Dr. Walid Deeb received his PhD in mathematics from the State University of New York at Albany.
