Information

Muhammad Abdel Qader Abu Fares ( 1938 - November 3 , 2015 ), doctor at the University of Jordan and head of its jurisprudence department, until he was dismissed by orders from the military governor, a former member of the Jordanian Parliament for two terms, the first in the Eleventh Assembly in 1989, and the second in 2003, and he lost his membership. In the second, because he offered condolences to the leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, he was sentenced to two years in prison and then released with a pardon from King Abdullah II . I am considered one of the historical leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan , and he holds a doctorate in Islamic law - specializing in Sharia politics.

His upbringing

He was born in the Palestinian village of Fallujah in 1938. He received his first primary education in the city of Fallujah, then at the Dura Boys School in the Hebron Governorate after his family took refuge there in 1950 AD. He grew up as an orphan, as his father died when he was twelve years old. After the death of his father, he lived under the care of his mother and his uncle (Ahmed Youssef) Abu Fares.

His movement beginnings

He began frequenting the Muslim Brotherhood branch in Hebron in 1952 AD, and this was the beginning of his launch into advocacy and organizational work.

Scientific life

The sheikh received his doctorate from Al-Azhar University in Sharia politics with first class honors.
He joined the University of Damascus to study Islamic law in 1964.
He received his secondary education at Al-Hussein Bin Ali School in Hebron, from which he graduated in 1957 AD.

His work and positions he held

He was appointed a teacher in the Ministry of Education in the village of Abu Nusair in 1958.
After he graduated from the University of Damascus, he was contracted by the Qatari Ministry of Education to work as a teacher. Then he returned to Jordan after deciding to return and resign from his job at the end of 1971.
In 1974, he was appointed at the University of Jordan as an assistant professor in the Department of Jurisprudence and Legislation, until he was dismissed in 1985.
He was appointed Chairman of the Culture, Education and Education Council of the Islamic Center Charitable Society and then Director of its Culture, Education and Education Council.

Political career

He entered Parliament in 1989 and returned to it in 2003 AD, before losing his membership because he offered condolences to the leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq. He was sentenced to two years in prison, then he was released with a pardon from King Abdullah II, along with his fellow Jordanian MP, Ali Abu Al-Sukkar . Wanis Al-Mabrouk
says : “The sheikh was influenced by the scholar Dr. Abd al-Ghani Abd al-Khaleq , who supervised his dissertation, “Judge Abu Ya’la al-Farra’ and his book, The Sultanic Rules.” He was also influenced in his dynamic thought by the martyr Sayyid Qutb , and this influence even spread - in my estimation - to some opinions. Jurisprudence of the Sheikh, especially with regard to his ijtihad in political calamities.”
