Information
Saeed Nashef is a Palestinian engineer and entrepreneur, and the co-founder of Saderah Ventures, the first venture capital fund in Palestine focused on investing in startups in software, internet, and mobile sectors. Saeed is a graduate of the Kauffman Fellows Program, becoming the first Fellow from the Arab Middle East, and a recipient of the Jeff Timmins Award.
He has served on the board of directors of Ya Musafir and SouqTel, and founded and directed Equiom-MENA, based in Ramallah, Palestine, which provided outsourced software design services to American and European markets. He also co-founded and previously served as Chief Technology Officer at Equiom, Inc., a software consulting and technology incubator company operating in Washington, D.C., and Colorado.
Saeed led the software engineering team at Fidesic, an internet startup founded in Seattle in 2000, offering electronic billing and payment services for businesses. Prior to that, he spent six years at Microsoft in software engineering and various leadership roles.
He was a member of the U.S. Presidential Delegation at the Palestine Investment Conference in Bethlehem in 2010, and represented Palestine at the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship held in Washington, D.C., in April 2010.
