Muhammad bin Muhammad Hassan Shurrab , better known as Muhammad Hassan Shurrab , (born in Khan Yunis in 1938 AD , and died in Damascus on October 31, 2013 AD ), a Palestinian historian and encyclopedic writer.  , familiar with the history of Palestine , its cities and men, and the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , especially Medina , in which he lived for a period of time. His house in the district of Daraya , near Damascus, was a meeting place for lovers of language, literature and history.

He was born in Khan Yunis in the Gaza district in 1938 AD , studied in its schools and then continued his studies at Al-Azhar in the period between 1953 and 1956 (then he moved during the period of unity between Egypt and Syria in 1959 to Damascus University to study there and graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Arabic Language in 1963 AD and then He completed his educational studies, obtaining a diploma in education from the same university. He continued his studies at the Institute of Islamic Studies in Cairo (Master of Islamic Studies) 1980.

He contracted as a teacher with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 1964 to 1994, and worked in Hail , Dammam and Madinah , where he spent thirty years between teaching and lecturing in literary clubs and scientific councils.

He has been writing professionally since 1980, and until 2006 he has published more than thirty books on biography of cities, men, language, grammar and history.

He returned to Damascus and lived in Daraya district in Western Ghouta.

In 1968, he married a Damascene woman who bore him Ahmad, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, and Kawthar, a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Amman, Jordan - applied physics.
