Mahmoud Yazbak (Hebrew: מחמוד יזבק) is a Palestinian historian and researcher, born in the city of Nazareth (December 5, 1956), a lecturer in the Department of Middle Eastern History at the University of Haifa, and holds a professor's degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem He specializes in Middle Eastern history, Palestinian social and political history, Palestinian society in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and a researcher in writing Israeli history, Palestinian women, civil history of the Palestinian city and research records.

He obtained his first degree in 1978, and his second degree in 1992 with a specialization in Middle Eastern history from the University of Haifa, and completed his doctoral study in 1996 at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and then moved to a post-doctoral study at Oxford University in 1999, in 2009 he was the first Arab researcher He is elected to the position of President of the Israeli Association for Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies, and in 2011 he was appointed Head of the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Haifa. Between 2008-2011, he served as Chairman of the Administrative Board of Adalah, the Legal Center for Palestinian Minority Rights in Israel, Haifa. In the year 2000, he assumed the duties of the spokesman for the Committee of the Families of the Martyrs of October, after his nephew Wissam Yazbek was martyred during the demonstrations and confrontations between the Israeli security forces and the Palestinian citizens in the city of Nazareth at the beginning of the second intifada.
