Ali Muhammad Qatoush (Jerusalem 1945-) Palestinian poet and writer. Ali Muhammad Qatoush, better known as “Ali Al-Batiri”, was born in 1945 in the town of Battir / Bethlehem. He completed the General Secondary School / Literary Branch at Bethlehem Secondary School in 1962, and obtained a diploma in English from Dar Al-Moalemeen College / Al-Aroub in the year 1962. 1964. He took over the editorial management of the “Wissam” magazine for children, issued by the Ministry of Culture (2002-2006), and worked as an editorial advisor in the “Little Policeman” magazine issued by the Public Security Directorate since 1996, and the newspaper “Zaha” issued by the Zaha Cultural Center / Amana Greater Amman (2007-2009). He took over the editorial management of the “Wissam” magazine for children, issued by the Ministry of Culture (2002-2006), and worked as an editorial advisor in the “Little Policeman” magazine, issued by the Public Security Directorate since 1996, and the newspaper “Zaha” issued by the Zaha Cultural Center / Greater Amman Municipality. (2007-2009). He received the Khalil Sakakini Prize for Children’s Literature from the Jordanian Writers Association in 1996 for his entirety, and the authorship prize (the field of poetry) from the Higher National Committee for the Declaration of Amman as the Capital of Arab Culture for 2002 for his collection “Why I Throw Roses of My Blood”. And the songs she wrote for children won the award for the best integrated lyrical work seven times in the eight sessions of the Children’s Song Festival, which was organized by the Ministry of Culture. Songs written by him also won prizes, including: the Golden Microphone Award at the Fifth Arab Song Festival (1996) for the song “How do I sing”, the gold medal at the Arab Song Festival in Cairo (2005) for the song “Child at the Gate”, and the second prize at the Jordanian Song Festival The first (2000) for the song “Let Me Sing”, the Grand Prix at the Sixth Cairo Song Festival (2000) for the song “Go Back to Me”, and the Golden Microphone Award from the Arab Song Festival in Tunisia (2008) for the song “Waiting for the Past”. Jordanian Writers, and the Future Builders Forum. He held the position of Vice President in the National Association for the Education of Children of the Noor Al Hussein Foundation, and was a member of the Administrative Board of the Jordanian Writers Union for two sessions.

He taught in his country, then in the UAE for five years, and worked in addition to teaching in the Jordanian and Arab press.

Interested in children's literature, and writes - in addition to poetry - the story, the play, and the critical and journalistic article.

Annually participates in the Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts in the field of poetry.
