Ahmed Farah Aqilan (1924 - 1997), is a Saudi poet and writer of Palestinian origin, born in the village of Fallujah in Palestine in 1924 AD, and graduated from the Arab College in Jerusalem in 1924 AD, and worked as a teacher in the schools of Palestine until he traveled to Saudi Arabia in 1957 AD and worked in its schools and institutes, Then he obtained Saudi citizenship, worked as a cultural advisor at the General Presidency for Youth Welfare (currently the General Sports Authority), worked as a preacher and presented a radio program “On Interpretation of the Qur’an.” He was a member of the International Association of Islamic Literature, and is one of the founding members of the Association. He has published books, and his book (The Free Poetry Crime, which was published in 1982 AD, sparked a storm that was promoted by the advocates of modernity and Westernization who attacked the Sheikh violently, although none of them was able to respond logically to the facts in his book.
