Qadri Toukan, according to Dr. Yahya Abdel Raouf Jabr, professor of Arabic language at An-Najah National University, is one of three Levantines known for their scientific excellence in the modern era, and for their great efforts in serving Arab science and scientific heritage, and the other two are Omar Farroukh and Jamil Saliba. The three were largely interested in unveiling the contribution of Muslims - and Arabs among them - to the progress of mankind, and the foundation of various sciences for many centuries, starting from the eighth century AD to the end of the seventeenth century.
