Muhammad Kamal Jabr (1948 - 2014) is a Palestinian writer, the older brother of the Palestinian novelist Muhammad Muhib Jaber. He was born in 1948 in the town of Barqa, Nablus district, on September 13, 1948, after his family emigrated from the town of Kafr Saba in occupied Palestine due to the war. Then he moved with his family to Balata camp near Nablus. He lived the experience of the camp in his childhood and youth, and suffered what he suffers from. The son of the camp is under the humble houses that are almost collapsing, and they lack the slightest means of human life, and in the camp he completed his primary education, and he finished high school in the city of Nablus. He then moved to Amman, where he joined the University of Jordan to graduate with a bachelor's degree in mathematics, and then returned to occupied Palestine to work in the field of teaching.

 

Muhammad Kamal Jabr wrote the literary article, specialized in writing the play, participated in directing a number of plays, and had an experience in the Olive Theatre, which was established in 1975 in the city of Nablus, which presented dozens of plays until the occupation forces closed it. Then he worked in the (Free Theater Troupe) of the Association of Friends of An-Najah National University. Muhammad Kamal Jabr also wrote the short story and was one of the founders of the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists - Under Occupation. With the establishment of the Palestinian National Authority in 1994, Muhammad Kamal Jabr worked through the Palestinian National Committee for Education, Culture and Science, and represented it on several Arab and international occasions. It was issued by the "Lions and Flowers Foundation" of the Fatah movement until his death on July 11, 2014.

Muhammad Kamal Gabr passed away on Ramadan 13, corresponding to July 11, 2014 as a result of a health crisis that began with a mild cerebral attack, but did not take him long.
