Zahira Sabbagh is a Palestinian poet, writer and artist, considered one of the pioneers of the feminist movement in Palestine, and she is the mother of the Palestinian artist Rim Banna.

Zahira was born and raised in Nazareth, and holds a university degree in English literature. She wrote poetry when she was young, and published her experiences in several Palestinian magazines and newspapers, where she published her poems under a pseudonym. Zahira founded the Association of Women Against Violence, worked as an employee in the Nazareth municipality, and then became the librarian of Abu Salma, an institution affiliated with the Association of Women Against Violence.

Zahira participated in the film Al Saber, which narrates the issue of Palestine and the tragedy of Palestinian refugees and those displaced from their villages. She also participated in several documentaries. In 2009, she was honored by the Abu Salma Library, in recognition of her efforts and her social, political and cultural activities, and she was also honored by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture.
