Born in Al-Swarif village, Gaza 1917, finished his primary education in his village; joined Al-Azhar Al-Sharif for several years; received a Licentiate in Literature 1945; Diploma in Education and Psychology 1947; appointed as an Arabic language teacher in Cairo's secondary schools; MA in Education from Cairo University 1962; PhD in 1970.
