Samih Sharif was born in Bal'a, Tulkarem in 1931, received a BA in Trade. He worked as a teacher, director of Engineering Investment Co.; owner and director of a private corporation; editor of Al-Thaqafa Magazine in Amman; one of the co-founders of the Jordanian Writers Union, wrote poetry, articles and researches.
