Ziad Abdulfattah was born in Tulkarem in 1939. Educated in Tulkarem. Ziad worked at the UNRWA until 1966, worked in Kuwait for five years. At the late of 1971, he became head of Dara's broadcast; as correspondent of the Palestinian broadcasts in Beirut. In 1972, became the general director of the Palestinian News & Info Agency (Wafa) till now. He is a member of the General Secretary of the Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists since 1981; member of the Palestinian National Council; chairman of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) from 1978-1979.
Ziad wrote thousands of political and literary articles during the period 1968-1991.
