Ziad Abu Laban was born in Ein as-Sultan, Jericho in 1962. Ziad obtained his BA in Science from Al-Yarmouk University, Jordan in 1983, he then received a High Diploma in Arabic Language from the Institute of Arab Research and Studies in Cairo in 1990; MA in Modern Criticism in 1991 from the same institute. Served as head of the Studies Dept. in the Ministry of Culture, Jordan.
