Born in Safad 1907, where he finished his primary and secondary education; earned the Palestinian Metric Certificate 1927; Metric Certificate from London 1928, the Intermediate certificate in 1929; appointed as a teacher for five years (1929-1933); studied Mathematics at Exeter College in University of London. In 1953, he was appointed as a lecturer at the American University of Beirut. Ali died in Beirut in 1973.
