A Palestinian writer, she was born in Haifa (1946) to a parents from District of Safed; lived in Beirut where she received her education; Licentiate in Literature from Beirut Arab University 1970; MA in Literature from the Lebanese University in Beirut 1991. She currently resides in Australia where she worked as a chief-editor of (Jusur) Magazine; earned her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Sydney; works as an Arabic language and Literature lecturer at the same university. Nejmeh was awarded the International Jubran Khalil Jubran Prize from Australia.
