Samir Saber Al Jundi is a Palestinian author and publisher, originally from Jerusalem. He was born in Deir Yassin on 29 November, 1958.
Due to poverty, his family emigrated to the Old City of Jerusalem where he lived and grew up. Samir obtained a Diploma in Education, Bachelor degree in Arabic Literature, Master's degree in Arabic Language - Modern Criticism.
Samir has established "Dar Al Jundi" for Publishing and Distribution, which is a culture institution and one of its kind in Jerusalem. The main purpose for establishing such an institution is to support the Palestinian writers and authors, and to preserve the Palestinian identity of Jerusalem.
He is a member of the Palestinian National Theater, writes in local and international magazines and newspapers. He also writes in blogs, the Representative of Palestine in numerous international conventions, one of the co-founders of the General Union for the Palestinian Teachers and a member of the General Union for Palestinian Writers.
