Information
Raed Ibrahim was born in Al Khobar (Saudi Arabia) in 1971; he lives and works in Amman. Ibrahim is a visual artist with a high diploma in drawing and painting from the Fine Art Institute at the Lebanese University obtained in 1998. He has taken part in workshops and exhibitions in Jordan, Lebanon, Ireland, UK, Holland and the US. Ibrahim had his first solo exhibition at Zico House in Beirut in 2001; he held a solo show at the French Cultural Center in Amman in 2007, and his latest solo was titled "For Every Ailment There is a Remedy" at Makan in Amman in 2009. Raed participated in the artist-in-residence programs of ProHelvetia, Aarau (2009); Darat al Funun, Amman (2009); and Boomerang Arts, Korck (2007).
Achievements and Awards
After studying in Beirut at the Tarraki Institute, he received a Diploma in Drawing and Painting from the Fine Art Institute at the Lebanese University (1994). He participated in Summer Academy Workshops at Darat al Funun in Amman, Jordan, with the artist Marwan Kassab (2000-02). He has had solo exhibitions at the French Cultural Centre in Amman and at ZICO House in Beirut. Lives and works in Amman.
