Mahmoud Ibrahim Abbasi: A Palestinian writer, author, translator, and doctor of Arabic language. He was born in the Al-Halisa neighborhood of Haifa in 1935, to a family of merchants originally from Umm al-Fahm. At the age of five, he joined the Al-Rabita Al-Ahliya School in the Al-Halisa neighborhood, where he memorized the Holy Quran. His father transferred him to the prestigious French Frères School to delve into pluralistic studies in culture and civilization. He worked in journalism and has authored works in theatrical fiction and translations, and he held high cultural positions in Arab affairs.
