Information

Jamal Badwan is a Ukrainian visual artist and caricaturist of Palestinian origin from the village of Azzun, Qalqilya District. He holds two doctoral degrees — one in Economics and another in Fine Arts.

Badwan is recognized in the Guinness World Records for creating the largest oil painting in the world. He received the Golden Eagle Award for Arts in 2010 as Best Artist in Eastern Europe, as well as the Grand Oscar for Ukrainian Arts in 2013, among numerous other awards.

He has held many international exhibitions across the globe under the title “Window on Palestine”, earning him the title of “Ambassador of Arab Art.”

Jamal Badwan is considered one of the fastest painters in the world, and his unique artistic style has been adopted as a teaching method in Ukrainian and Russian universities. The style is known as “Listninsky Badwan,” which translates to “the Palestinian Badwan.”

He is also known for defending the Prophet of Islam through art, having stood up artistically against Danish and Dutch painters in their own countries.
