Jamal Hassouna Darwish Al-Dremeli , a Palestinian writer and composer, was born in Gaza in 1950. He worked in Saudi Arabia for 23 years. He has composed numerous operettas, musicals, and plays.

He has written several radio series, some of which were broadcast on the Voice of Jerusalem Radio. He has also prepared several television programmes, including the thirty-episode programme “To Whom It May Concern”, which addresses several social problems in a dramatic manner and was broadcast on Palestine TV from Gaza.
He also composed many national and religious anthems and songs, songs for the martyrs of Palestine, and a group of songs for special occasions. He also composed songs in the Gulf dialect that were broadcast on Saudi television. He also composed (I am not sleeping in the tent and under the rain), which was the first song broadcast during the events of the first intifada on Radio Jerusalem , which was broadcasting at the time from Syria.
He has works for children, including songs, plays, and children's puzzles. He also has several unpublished poetry collections in classical and colloquial Arabic, and in various Arabic dialects. They are classified as collections of poetry for special occasions, religious, emotional, and special occasions.
