His artistic style
His art is characterized by its use of drawing, installations, sculpture, and video, exploring his identity through the influences surrounding place and people. He relies heavily on indirect symbols, incorporating motifs and arabesques into his drawings, inspired by the memory and culture of the place. He frequently uses Palestinian ornamentation and embroidery, earthen materials, and plants such as cacti, applying precise techniques in the execution of his works. Abu Shakra relies on a comprehensive integration of concept and execution, combining drawing, rooted in Western traditions, with Eastern ornamentation and arabesques. He also expresses his artistic vision through exhibitions, videos, and installations. Over many years, he has used his unique subjective language, combining charged symbolism with abstract artistic values.
