Abdul Rahman Bseiso (1951-) is a Palestinian writer , poet, critic and diplomat , born in Gaza . He was the Palestinian ambassador to Slovakia for several years. Among his most prominent critical works are “The Mask Poem in Contemporary Arabic Poetry,” “The Masks of One Thousand and One Nights in Modern Poetry,” “Children’s Literature between Composition Writing and the Creation of Writing,” “The Concept of Freedom in Louis Awad ,” and “Purposeful Writing.” He is a member of the editorial board of Al-Jadeed, London.
He contributed to the establishment of the Ibn Battuta Prize for Travel Literature in 2000 with the aim of stimulating Arab interest in geographical literature. He was on its judging committee, along with Moroccan researcher Taie Al-Hadawi, Syrian critic Khaldoun Shamaa, Palestinian researcher Ahmed Barqawi , Iraqi writer Awad Ali, and Syrian writer Mufid Najm.
