Walid Khalidi (1925-) is a distinguished Palestinian historian renowned for his extensive writings on Palestinian exile and the events surrounding the 1948 war. Born in Jerusalem, Khalidi graduated from Oxford University in 1951, where he laid the foundation for his scholarly pursuits. He went on to become one of the founders of the Institute for Palestine Studies and currently serves as its General Secretary.
Throughout his career, Khalidi held prominent academic positions, including lecturer in political studies at the American University of Beirut until 1982.
