Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Hussein Al-Ali Al-Shibli Al-Jenini was born on 9/7/1956 AD (1377 AH) in the village of Kafr Ra’i, one of the Palestinian villages of Jenin. He originally hailed from the village of Al-Shajara, west of Tiberias in Palestine.
He pursued his high school education in Kafr Ra’i before enrolling in the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Jordan, from which he graduated in 1980.
Throughout his professional life, he served in the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments, working as an imam, preacher, and advocate. Additionally, he held the position of head of the office of the College of Da’wah and Fundamentals of Religion for two years.
Al-Ali was a prominent figure in the realm of Islamic scholarship. He conducted lessons on the explanation of Sahih Al-Bukhari, Muslim, and Sahih Al-Sira, and was a member of esteemed academic societies such as the Noble Hadith Society and the Noble Hadith Encyclopedia. He was also affiliated with the Academy for the Scientific Miracles of the Holy Qur’an.
He received knowledge from renowned scholars, including Sheikh Mustafa al-Zarqa, Sheikh Abd al-Fattah Abu Ghada, Sheikh Abd al-Rahim Saeed, Dr. Hammam Saeed, Dr. Abdullah Azzam, Dr. Fadl Hassan Abbas, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Mubarak, Dr. Abdul Hamid Al-Sayeh, Dr. Rajeh Al-Kurdi, Dr. Ahmed Nofal, among others.
Al-Ali obtained two licenses in Islamic jurisprudence, one from Sheikh Abdullah bin Al-Siddiq Al-Ghumari and another from Sheikh Al-Fadani in the six books.
He passed away on Friday night, 5/27/1425 AH (7/15/2004), at 8:30 PM, at the Islamic Hospital in Amman, after battling heart disease for years.
Al-Ali authored several books on various religious and historical topics, some of which have been published while others await publication. These include works such as:
