Abdul Karim Eid Al-Hashash ( 1947 - October 24, 2023 ) is a Palestinian writer, born in Beersheba . He moved with his family to the Gaza Strip following the Nakba in 1948 and lived in the Rafah camp . He studied the primary and preparatory stages in the UNRWA schools in Rafah, and passed the high school scientific branch in the Be’er School. Seventh High School in 1965 AD, and after the 1967 war he moved to Jordan , and from there to Syria , and studied at the University of Damascus, Faculty of Arts, Department of Arabic Language, and graduated in 1974 AD. He worked as a teacher between the years 1976 - 1981 AD, then he conducted research related to Palestinian popular heritage, including customs, traditions, and singing. And chants and proverbs. [2] [3] He belonged to the Palestinian Writers and Journalists Union, and the Arab Writers Union

His death

Abdul Karim Al-Hashash died in an air strike carried out by the Israeli army on a home for the Al-Hashash family in the southern Gaza Strip on the evening of Tuesday, October 24, 2023, as part of a series of raids included in the Israeli military operation on the Strip in response to the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7, 2023.
