The artist Ayman Al-Sabaawi is one of the most famous Dahiya singers in the West Bank. He told Ultra Palestine that Dahiya was absent from local social events almost completely, from the 1970s until 2004, then it returned stronger than it was before, after the introduction of rhythms.
