Riad Saif, whose full name at birth was Riad Odeh Abdel Qader Jamous (January 4, 1949 in Tulkarm), is a Palestinian screenwriter, playwright and poet. He holds Jordanian citizenship. He wrote more than 40 television series, most notably the Invasion series and the Falcon’s Wedding series. He wrote children’s books and many plays. 2008 International Emmy Award.

His biography
Riyad Odeh Abdel Qader Jamous was born in the city of Tulkarm on January 4, 1942. He finished high school in Zarqa, Jordan, in 1968, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Jordan in 1972. He worked as an accountant in the Labor Secretariat from 1973 to 1979 in Libya, then continued his work in Jordan, then an auditor at the Arab Pharmaceutical Industries Company in Amman from 1979 to 1995. He also worked as director of Al-Istiqlal TV in Ramallah from 2000 to 2010. He is a member of the Jordanian Writers Association.

He wrote more than 40 television series, the most famous of which are Bitter Dust, Falcon's Wedding, The Invasion, and Jerusalem Gate.

Achievements and Awards

1997: Best Show and Best Script Award at the Fifth Jordanian Theater Festival for his play Green Blue.
1999: Gold Award in Arab Drama at the Tunis Film Festival for the series The Falcon’s Wedding.
2008: Emmy Award for the series The Invasion, which he wrote, which is the first Arab work to receive this award in the history of Arab drama.
