Huda Asfour is a Palestinian oud player, qanun player, composer, and music teacher, as well as a businesswoman and engineer. She was born into a musical family, and began her formal musical education at the age of 13. After that, she studied at the National Conservatory of Music in Gaza and the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Ramallah, where she was taught by the famous Oud player Professor Khaled Gibran.
