Atef Talal Ibrahim Abu Saif (June 20, 1973) is a Palestinian writer, novelist, and politician. On February 5, 2018, the Fatah Movement’s Commission for Information, Culture, and Intellectual Mobilization appointed him as spokesman for the movement. Since April 13, 2019, he has also held the position of Minister of Culture within the government of Muhammad Shtayyeh.

His life
Atef Abu Saif was born in Jabalia Camp in 1973, to parents from a family displaced from the city of Jaffa. He studied English language and literature at Birzeit University, obtained a master's degree in political science from the University of Bradford in England, and later obtained a doctorate in political science from the University of Florence in Italy.

Atef Abu Saif published four novels, in addition to a collection of short stories and a book published by Dar Al-Shorouk in Amman.
