Information
He is a Palestinian artist and sculptor, born in Yarmouk Camp in 1962. He studied in its primary, middle and high schools. He joined the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus in the year 1981 and graduated in 1987, specializing in the art of sculpture. He worked as an art teacher in the middle and secondary schools affiliated with the Directorate of Education in the Damascus countryside and the Directorate of Education in the Governorate. Damascus, most recently as a teacher of sculpture at the Manual Work Institute between 2007 and 2014. He is a member of the Palestinian Plastic Artists Union and a member of the Syrian Plastic Artists Union. He participated in most of the Union’s exhibitions, the Syrian branch, between 1986 and 2010. He participated in many fall exhibitions held by the Arts Directorate of the Ministry of Culture in Syria.
Al-Saadi’s artistic works are a spiritual artistic mixture that simulates human aspects through political events that affect his psyche in his lived reality and his positions, accumulating within his pain that starts from geography to remembrance, nostalgia, memory, events, and humanity. By displaying his sculptures in private and group exhibitions in Syria and Sweden, Al-Saadi was able to evoke the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian resistance to restore the lost homeland.
