Mahmoud Khalili is considered one of the most important and dearest friends of the late Syrian director Hatem Ali, may God have mercy on him. Al-Khalili is a multi-talented Palestinian artist between plastic arts, acting and teaching arts. He was born in 1957 in the Neirab camp in the Syrian city of Aleppo and is originally from the village of Jish in the district of the Galilean city of Safad in the north of Palestine. ; He studied at the Martyr Mahmoud Abu Al-Hassan High School in Aleppo, studied at the College of Fine Arts in Damascus/Department of Painting in 1982, and served as President of the General Union of Palestinian Visual Artists, Syria Branch from 1991 to 2001. He is a member of the General Union of Palestinian Expressive Artists, and a member of the Union. General of Palestinian Writers and Journalists, and a member of the Fine Arts Syndicate in Syria, in addition to being a member of the Artists Syndicate - Syria.
As a visual artist, he participated in many Arab and international exhibitions, including: multiple exhibitions in Syria, Beirut and Tunisia 1993, Bahrain 1980, Dubai 1996, Berlin 1980, Poland (Warsaw - Bytom - Lublin) 1980 and Helsinki 1981, as well as in Kuwait 1984, Athens 1986, Cyprus 1986, in addition to the Republic of Turkmenia. 1990, Geneva 1993, and Tehran 1990 - 1991 - 2000.
Regarding his contributions as an actor, he participated in many television, cinematic and theatrical works as an actor and designer of decoration and clothing.
