Since his childhood, the Czech artist Khaled Estitieh has been distinguished by his artistic talent. Today, he is a lecturer in the Department of Design and Applied Arts at Palestine Technical University “Kadoorie”.
Previously, there were not many art centres, so Estiteh (29 years old) used to go to the Nablus Municipal Library after school, because it contained many books and articles on artistic topics for him to read and then benefit from the experience of colors and how to use them in the beginning.
In the ninth grade, the art education professor turned to Khaled’s talent and introduced him to the College of Fine Arts at An-Najah National University to view his works. He allowed him to enter the college to gain more academic experience, but he did not last more than three days and left the college of his own volition, and explained this. He detested those models that the student was forced to imitate, and saw them as imprisoning his freedom in front of the canvas, so he returned to researching art personally, and in 2005 he won the award for the best young artist in Palestine.
As for the exhibitions in which Estiteh participated, he participated in exhibitions in Palestine, Norway, Britain, and Italy during his master’s studies.
