Abd al-Rahman Abu al-Qasim (January 1, 1942 - Shaaban 17, 1441 AH / April 10, 2020), a Palestinian actor, born in Saffuriyya, in Palestine, his family took refuge in Syria in 1948.
About him
He began working in the school theater in 1954, specifically in the primary schools of Damascus, and from there to the preparatory ones in the School of Industry, and after that he moved in a number of local Syrian troupes, including the Syrian Troupe for Acting, the Azbakeya Club, and the clubs that were affiliated with the Relief Agency in the Palestinian camps, and after that he joined a troupe A play by the Fatah movement, and it was called the Fatah Theatrical Ensemble, and in 1965 he presented a number of plays with it, with no less than 15 performances. Then the PLO adopted this troupe, and its name became the Palestinian National Theater Ensemble.

Abd al-Rahman Abu al-Qasim died on April 10, 2020, in Damascus, after suffering a heart attack at the age of seventy-eight.
