The Spanish
magazine (Idearabia) published a study by the Palestinian academic Dr. Ibrahim
Nimr Musa, on the literature of prisons and detention centers, which is
entitled "The Palestinian Writer Confronting the Israeli Occupation."
The study
dealt with the conditions of detention suffered by three literary prisoners, as
preventing the prisoner from obtaining writing tools and confiscating his
literary and cultural creations is an attempt to tighten control over the
Palestinian mind, eliminate his human feelings, and destroy his spirit of
struggle.
It is
noteworthy that the academic Dr. Ibrahim Nemer Musa, Dean of the Faculty of
Arts at Birzeit University, and Professor of Literature and Modern Criticism
there, has authored many books, and won the State of Palestine Award for Social
Studies and Human Sciences presented by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture in
2015.
