The festival
management honored the Palestinian Hanin Abu Ghosh, who is a symbol of
resistance and challenge. She is a twenty-year-old girl who lives in the town
of Beit Hanina in occupied Jerusalem. She was involved in a terrible traffic
accident in 2009, an accident that changed her life. Spinal cord, what seated
her on the moving wheels, but she did not give up, and decided to exercise.
Today, Hanin
practices several sports such as boxing, weightlifting, kickboxing, lifts her
body with a rope, and drives a car with her hands only.
It is
noteworthy that the festival aims to enhance the process of artistic and social
integration of our children with special abilities with their peers from
different countries of the world, especially as it is the first event in the
world that will work to achieve international integration.
