member in the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences at Al-Quds Open
University obtained a proficiency. Suzan Jacir Yacoub Jacir won the first place
as the best Arab photographer in the world for the year 2022, with the photo
that came under the title "Memories", for the Silhouettes category,
in the World Cup for Arab Creators 2022.
Seventeen Arab
creators in various fields participated in the global competition organized by
The Arabs Group in London, in addition to Arabs residing in many foreign
countries.
The closing
ceremony of the competition was held in the tallest tower in Europe in the
center of the British capital, London, in the presence of a group of famous
international arbitration judges, and some of the winners.
It is
mentioned that silhouettes are a type of art that relies on the use of black
color on a white background to show the outer borders of the figure, and it is
sometimes called contrast photography because it is executed in a reverse way
to lighting or drawing. This art depends mainly on drawing, so the silhouette
artist must be a painter in order to be good at it. . It is also characterized
by simplicity, as it relies on simple tools, which are scissors and white and
black paper, and its implementation does not take much time. This art did not
spread widely like other arts, but it is more present in France, Germany and
Japan than in other countries.
