Information
Musa Abu Karsh, known as Abu Hazem
(1955 - March 6, 2023), a Palestinian journalist and poet, was born in the
Shati refugee camp in Gaza City in 1955. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts,
Ain Shams University. He wrote many articles and books that expressed the
Palestinian reality and published many poetic and nonfiction texts, the most
important of which was Hala Hope, which was published in 2016.
He worked as a teacher in Aden
schools for 17 years. Then he held the position of editor-in-chief of Al-Hayat
Al-Jadida newspaper in Gaza. He also obtained membership in the Palestinian
Journalists Syndicate and membership in the Arab Journalists Union, in addition
to his membership in the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Writers.
He passed away on Monday, March 6,
2023, at the age of 67. He was buried in Al Faluja Cemetery, Jabalia.
