Tamim Mansour (1941 - 2021) is a former Palestinian writer and political activist. He is the author of many books and press articles, and was a member of a number of political parties.

Tamim Mahmoud Mansour was born in the village of Al-Tira Al-Muthalth in Mandatory Palestine in 1941 AD. He finished secondary school in 1965 AD, and joined the Teachers Training Institute in the city of Jaffa, where he saw for the first time the policies of racism and discrimination suffered by the Palestinians of the interior, especially during that period, which is the period of military rule that was imposed on the Palestinians of the interior since the Nakba in 1948 AD. After he finished his studies at the Teachers Institute, he began working as a teacher, working as a teacher in several Arab schools in the Galilee and the Triangle, including: Arab Al-Shibli, Kafr Kanna, Kafr Misr, Jisr Al-Zarqa and Kafr Qassem.
In the year 1972 AD, Tamim joined Tel Aviv University to study for a master's degree in the subject of the history of the modern Middle East and the history of Palestine, then he began completing studies for a second master's degree in the same university in 1978 AD with the subject of the history of the Jewish people and Islamic civilization, and he obtained a master's degree in 1981 AD. in the same year. Since 1980 AD, he began teaching at Al-Tira Secondary School and continued in the teaching profession until his retirement in 2004 AD.

Tamim Mansour has been involved in political and national work since his youth in the various frameworks that were available at the time. The year 1984 AD was the culmination of his political work, as he contributed to the establishment and foundation of the “Progressive Movement” as the first Palestinian national Arab framework in the occupied Palestinian territory.
In 1991, he participated with the delegation of the Progressive Movement in the Conference of Non-Governmental Associations in Support of the Palestinian People in Geneva, Switzerland. In 1993 AD, the Progressive Movement participated in the Israeli Knesset elections, and Tamim was the second candidate in the movement's list, which did not pass the threshold at the time. In addition, Tamim was one of the founders of the National Democratic Assembly Party in 1996 AD, and since then he held the position of a member of the political bureau of the party until his resignation in 2008 AD.
On the intellectual and ideological level, Tamim was a Nasserist, as he was one of the great admirers and influencers of the late Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser, and he had relations with Nasserite websites, and wrote many articles on them that were translated into several languages such as: Hebrew, English and Turkish. In addition, he wrote hundreds of articles in all local newspapers, including: “Al-Watan”, “Al-Sanara”, “Kul Al-Arab”, “Fusl Al-Maqal”, “Al-Ahali”, “Panorama”, “Al-Qabas”, “Al-Masar”, and “Al-Ittihad”. and others.

Writer Tamim Mansour passed away on September 24, 2021 AD, at the age of eighty, following a heart attack. He was mourned by several personalities and various local parties, including the Tagammu’ party, and his body was shared to his final resting place after a busy educational, political and patriotic career.
