Daes Kamal Abu Kishk (born 1953 - November 24, 2011) is a Palestinian writer. He completed primary and secondary studies in Nablus schools, and obtained a first university degree from the History Department at Alexandria University, and a second university degree, which is a postgraduate diploma, from the Faculty of Education at An-Najah National University in Nablus. He was dismissed from the teaching profession in 1979 and was arrested by the Israeli occupation forces and prevented from traveling abroad since 1986. He returned to the teaching profession in 1994 after the Palestinian National Authority took over.
He was awarded a Certificate of Excellence in 2003 by the Ministry of Education for being a distinguished principal in the secondary stage. He founded Al-Wahda Publications House in 1981, which was closed by the Israeli occupation forces.
Daes Abu Kishk passed away on November 24, 2011.
