In addition to honoring some of the companies found in the most prestigious institutions, Edward Said received twenty honorary degrees from international universities. He received from Harvard University the Bowdoin Prize (the Bowdoin Prize) and the Lionel Trilling Prize (the Lionel Trilling Prize) twice, the first of which was the first. He is awarded the Wellek Prize (the Wellek Prize) by the American Society for Comparative Literature, and the Espinosa Prize. In 2001 he won the Lanan Literary Prize for his overall achievements, and in 2002 he won the Prince of Asturias Award, and he was the first American to win the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Prize, and in 1999 she won the New Yorker Prize for the non-fiction category and the year 2000 Ansfield Wolf Prize for the category, and the Morton Dawin Zabel Prize For Literature (Morton Dawin Zable). His name was also recorded as an honorary sponsor of the University of the Philosophical Society and Trinity College in Dubai, after his death shortly after.
