Sulaiman Ali was born in Damascus in 1957 for a Palestinian family originally from Safed. Sulaiman is an artist, graduated from the Fine Arts College in Damascus in 1982. He is a member of the Fine Arts Association in Damascus; member of the General Union for Palestinian Artists, worked as a teacher in Algeria. He has held many solo exhibitions in Damascus (1981, 1982, 1983), Algeria (1985, 1986, 1988) and Rome 1988.
