Born in Deir Al-Asad, Akka; in 1938; studied in Kfr Yasif secondary school and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; worked as an Arabic language teacher; since 1960; in many schools. Retired in 1993 after spending 33 years of teaching. Alasdi is a culture activist and a well-known poet.
