Fayez Sersawi, Born in Gaza City in 1961; graduated from the Istanbul Fine Arts Academy in 1986; began working as a sculptor and painter; also teaches young artists; spent a year at the Cité des Arts in Paris in 1999; supervised work on a mural on a wall on the main street of Gaza City, which was commissioned by the Palestinian Center for Human Rights in honor of Palestinian women for the annual UN Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace in 2002; serves as Dir.-Gen. of the Directorate for Community Work at the PA Ministry of Culture.
