About the author
A Palestinian born in Jordan in 1985, she spent most of her life in the United Arab Emirates. She earned a bachelor's degree in biotechnology from An-Najah National University in Nablus in 2008 and is currently pursuing a master's degree at the same university. She won the 2010 Arab Novel for Young Writers Award for her novel "Almost Shines," published by Shams Publishing and Distribution in Cairo in 2011 and republished by Kayan Publishing and Distribution in Cairo in 2015. She has a short story collection titled "Strawberries, Cakes, and Chocolates," published by Al-Ahliya Publishing House in Amman in 2014. Her novel "A Meal of Blood" received a grant from the Al-Mawred Al-Thaqafi Foundation in 2010 and is currently in press.
