Born in Jerusalem in 1942, graduated from St. George School in Jerusalem; obtained a diploma in Photography from the United States; upon his return he opened a small photography studio with the latest cameras and equipment near Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem; became one of the most famous photographers in Jerusalem, especially for shooting photos of tour groups visiting Al-Haram Ash-Sharif; his photo collection documented many historical events, especially during the period from the 1950s to 1970s, such as Israel’s demolition of some Arab neighborhoods in Jerusalem immediately after the 1967 War, such as the Moroccan Quarter and Az-Zawiya Al-Fakhriya (Zawyet Abu al-Saud); was married to Nafisa Yaqoub Abu Al-Saud, with whom he had two sons and a daughter (Osama, Ayman, and Dima); rented a number of gift shops in Jerusalem’s most famous hotels and sold souvenirs; died in Jerusalem in 2010 after suffering from renal insufficiency for several years.
