Gabriel Zaid: A Mexican thinker, poet, and businessman of Palestinian origin. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology. He has many articles and books of poetry and literature. He won the Banamex Prize in Economics for his thesis on economic development in Mexico. He won the Xavier Villarutia Prize in 1972 for his essay Reading Poetry.
